Beer Kissed Brand Development

A unique and spirited brand that grew from one product in one store to 14 products in over 425 stores across 30 states in four years.

Beer Kissed was a brand I founded and built, taking a chance on a whimsical idea and a lot of sweat equity. The business made a line of beer-infused sweet treats, including cookies, caramel sauces, and caramel popcorn.

Within five years, Beer Kissed had customers across the United States. Products were placed in two coveted regions of Whole Foods stores, along with many other chains and independent stores across the country.

Breaking into the specialty food industry is incredibly tough. It requires resourcefulness, excellent products, and a great and memorable brand. Explaining beer-infused sweets is no small feat, and messaging must be approachable and simple, without losing its spirit of fun.

To overcome this hurdle, I created a brand that was playful, trustworthy, and bold. The brand voice was a little sassy and very authentic. It leaned into the idea of deliciousness as a value, and encouraged engagement from consumers. The company doubled in sales each year I ran it, and I sold the business nearly five years after founding it.
